How Close Are We To The Return Of Jesus

How close are we to the return of Jesus? In Ezekiel chapters
38 and 39 it talks about an attack on Israel that will happen
in the last days. One of the countries mentioned is Persia,
which is modern day Iran. This attack on Israel has never
happened yet. In the Muslim tradition it teaches that in the
last days the 12th Imam will come to convert the whole world
to Islam. He is also called the Enlightened one but before he comes
according to Islamic tradition Israel must be wiped off of the map.
The president of Iran has been saying that Israel will soon be wiped
off of the map in fact he has said the countdown to the destruction
of Israel has begun he has also said that he was chosen to prepare
the way for the 12th Imam. He has said publicly that he had a vision
of the 12th Imam and was told he was chosen to prepare the way.
Furthermore the president of Iran has said publicly that the
12th Imam will arrive by the end of 2008. So is it possible that the
fulfillment of Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 will happen by the end
of 2008 only time will tell but it appears that this attack on Israel
happens about seven years before the return of Jesus.
